Kazakhstan wants nuclear fuel bank

Kazakhstan wants to build a nuclear fuel bank on its territory, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the opening of the International Forum “For Nuclear-Free World” in Astana on Wednesday, Trend reports.


The president added that the country plans to abandon plans for construction of nuclear power plants. There are currently 15 states, including Kazakhstan, building or planning to build nuclear power plants, Nazarbayev said.
