Transneft stops oil exports to China over earthquake in Amur Region

Transneft has temporarily stopped exports of oil to China due to an earthquake in the Amur Region, spokesman of the company Igor Demin said, Prime reports.


The earthquake had a magnitude of 5.9. The earthquake center was over 13 km deep. The quake was centred 24 km away from the village of Skovorodino in the Tyndinsky District.


The Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences said that information from 3 stations says that the magnitude was 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4, with the earthquake's epicenter registering 8.
