Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov offered a Prohibition Law in the republic. Gennady Onishenko, head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, says that the measure would be impossible to realize. But the price for vodka should be lifted to $100, he says, Interfax reports.
The Chechen leader said that alcohol kills “100, 200, 300% more people than terrorism”. If it were not for the tax the ban for alcohol would have been introduced long ago, he says. Alcohol in Chechnya can only be purchased two hours a day at 8-10 am.
Another notorious enemy of alcohol is Gennady Onishenko. He said on Friday that the authorities continue taking measures to reduce alcohol consummation, this includes a ban for sales of alcohol for children, increase of price for the product. The price for vodka needs to be increased sufficiently, Onishenko says. The current price is about 98 rubles and allows alcohol to be purchased by any class. The price should be set to at least $100, he concludes.
