The official ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the new joint Azerbaijani-Turkish oil processing plant was held in the Turkish province of Izmir, the APA news agency reports.
The ceremony was attended by the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev. They addressed the audience with special speeches.
Both leaders hails development of Azerbaijani-Turkish relations and bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Construction of the plant will cost 5 billion dollars, the news agency informs.
