Iran to export gas to Russia

The Director General of the Iranian National Company for Gas Exports, Khossein Bidarmagz, said that they plan to triple gas exports to Russia, Iran News reports.


Iran currently shares 2% of global gas trade. The five-year program, which ends in 2015, involves signing contracts to increase the figure to 10%. Iran plans to increase exports to 100 million cubic meters daily.


Bidarmagz noted that Iran supports the signing of any beneficial contract that suits its national interests.
