Two people died at an accident on a platform at the Guneshli Field, developed by the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR), Trend reports.
The accident happened at the Gunsehli-3 platform on October 29. A drilling specialist, Nemat Gezalov, and his assistant, Fikret Gazyyev, died. Maintenance activities are a daily operation and the staff knows safety rules well.
A joint commission of the State Labour Inspection, the Republican Committee for Labour Unions of Oil and Gas Industry of Azerbaijan and SOCAR was formed to investigate the case.
