Hodamorad Ahmadi, head of the Organization for Development and Modernization of Iranian Mining, said that Russia wants to invest in the Iranian aluminum industry, Iran News reports.
Ahmadi says that Russia is interested in Iranian prices for gas. Russia will soon inform Iran about the prices after holding consultations.
The official reported that Iran will produce 1.5 million tons of aluminum annually by 2025. It currently produces 800,000 tons.
Ahmadi clarified that aluminum factories will be built in Masjed-Soleiman District (Khuzestan Province). It will produce 350,000 tons of aluminum annually at the Lamerd factory. Another production center will be called Al-Mehdi (Khormozgan Province).
