The Turkmen capital, Ashkhabad, is preparing to host the 3rd International Investment Forum, TREND reports.
State and business officials have arrived for the meeting. The forum was organized by the Turkmen Trade and Industry Chamber. The forum will see over 330 participants, including 120 foreign delegates and business officials from 20 states.
Experts and heads of international banks, investment funds, financial corporations, economic missions and structures of the UN, OSCE and UAE will take part in the third forum.
Discussions will concern the socio-economic, innovative-industrial development of Turkmenistan, science, the fuel and energy complex, diversification of exports of energy resources, agriculture, the textile industry, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, information technologies, TV communications, foreign trade and business.
The forum will also have talks on further development of Turkmen regions and the construction complex, investment in urban planning and transport infrastructure and formation of a competitive tourism industry, including the Avaz national tourism zone.
Special attention will be paid to the place and role of financial and banking structures in forming investment capital, exports, taxing and credit policy, support for the non-state sector of the economy and legal aspects of foreign trade and investments.
Talks were also planned with potential investors, heads of foreign and international companies with state officials, ministries and departments and national businesses.
