Prices for food in Azerbaijan increased by 0.1% in October 2011, and for non-food products – by 0.4%, and for services – by 0.5%.
APA-Economics says that prices for wheat farina, macaroni products, beef and mutton, chicken, and chicken thighs, sausages, fresh fish, unpasteurized milk, butter, margarine, vegetable oil, peaches, watermelon and cantaloupe, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, sugar have not increased. Prices for certain products were dropping last month, mainly for flour, rye bread and bread made from mixed flour, buckwheat, eggs, lemons, bananas, oranges and tangerines, apples, pears, quinces, pomegranates, persimmons, grapes, walnuts, chestnuts, cabbage, greens, green lobio, beets, carrots, garlic, onions, potatoes and other products.
Prices in October increased for clothing and footwear, building materials - oil and water-based paints, varnish for parquet flooring, wallpaper, flooring, bricks, furniture - kitchen and bedroom furniture. Prices for water purification equipment, lumber, cement, furniture - living room and dining room furniture, kitchen table, from household utensils - to electric products, vacuum cleaners dropped.
Prices for services for the population dropped, mainly for internet services, international air service for passengers and freighting to CIS states, railway tickets.
Inflation in September was 1.1%, compared with the level in August.
