Agreement on Russia's accession to WTO to be signed on Wednesday

Russia and Georgia will sign the agreement on Russia's accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) on Wednesday in Geneva, AFP reports.

The signing of the agreement will be held at the headquarters of the WTO without the participation of media representatives, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, Russia and Georgia agreed on a compromise version of the agreement, developed under the mediation of Switzerland. The document provides for international observers to maintain control over the movement of goods in the border areas of both countries.

Thirty days after the ratification of the agreement Russia will become a full member of the WTO.
