Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has criticized the results of the IAEA report on the Iranian nuclear program, Gazeta.ru reports.
Ahmadinejad says that such reports harm the authority of the agency. French Foreign Minister Alaine Juppe said that France will impose sanctions against Iran unless talks with the international society on the program start.
The US announced possible sanctions against Iran, in particular, its commercial banks and leading companies. An anonymous US official says that oil and gas spheres will probably be unaffected.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) published a report on Iran’s nuclear program on Tuesday. The document says Tehran has been working on nuclear arms since 2003. Iran replied that the information was made up and has no grounds. Tehran continues insisting that its program is peaceful.
The Russian Foreign Ministry made a critical response on the situation with the report. Russian diplomats say that the document transforms into a source of new tensions around the nuclear program.
