Georgia is concluding construction of the Navtlugi-Saguramo gas pipeline towards Azerbaijan, the pipeline Georgia uses to receive gas, Trend reports.
Deputy Minister for Energy and Sustainable Development Mariam Valishvili and Director General of the Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation, Zurab Jandzhgava visited the construction site.
The Navtlugi-Saguramo section is the final part for realization of the three-year program for rehabilitation of the Krasny Most – Saguramo gas pipeline. It will be used to provide gas supplies for Western Georgia from Azerbaijan.
The pipeline will be shifted from Tbilisi. Construction is carried out by New Energy and will be completed in early 2012.
