Iran to increase uranium enrichment 2.5-fold by 2015

Iranian Petroleum Minister Rostam Kasemi said that the five-year development program (2011-2015) will allow uranium enrichment to increase 2.5-fold, with oil extraction up 1 million barrels daily, Iran News reports.


At the Forum of Gas Exporters in Doha he encountered his foreign counterparts and praise for Iran's ability to withstand international sanctions. Kasemi said that the sanctions could not cause any serious problems to the oil and gas sector. A set of states, including Egypt, expressed willingness to use Iranian oil technologies.


The minister says that realization of the 5-year program requires mobilization of all industrial resources. Iran would welcome any foreign companies in its oil and gas sphere.
