Russian energy giant Gazprom is planning a slight price reduction of gas prices for European consumers in Q1 2012, RIA Novosti cites the company head Alexey Miller.
The average gas price in November 2011 was $446 per a thousand cubic meters. Gas volumes provided for Europe in 2012 will increase, especially with launch of the Nord Stream in early November.
Deputy Director General of Gazprom Export, Sergey Chelpanov, said that the company expects to increase export of gas to Europe to 151-152 billion cubic meters in 2011. The volumes in 2012 are expected to reach 164 billion cubic meters.
