Haruhiko Kuroda, President of the Asian Development Bank, said that the Trans-Caspian gas pipeline and the Caspian petroleum transport systems may become part of the CAREC program. The energy sector is still a priority program, Fineko/abc.az reports.
Financing of such projects may be realized via private, mixed financing, public-private partnership (PPP) or state investments. The choice will be based on the specific features of any given project.
Samir Veliyev, Executive Director of the Azerbaijani Ministry for Economic Development, noted that energy is an important sphere for CAREC. Additional energy trends may become part of the CAREC program. The issue could be considered in the coming years.
