Yesterday, Economic Development Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev held a meeting in Makhachkala with Dagestani government representatives, abc.az reports.
Sh. Mustafayev said that Azerbaijan and Dagestan’s geographical location dictates necessity for creation of Azerbaijani- Dagestan transport logistics center. He also offered Dagestan to establish Export and Investment Promotion Foundation like Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (Azpromo).
"We are ready to share our experience in establishment of such foundation and organize information exchange between Azpromo and Dagestani government." Sh. Mustafayev said.
First Deputy Agriculture Minister of Dagestan Bashir Baytemirov noted that there is potential and need for construction of poultry enterprises in Dagestan , construction and reconstruction of wine producing enterprises, fruit and vegetable growing and storing systems, in particular hothouses. Dagestan is also interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in fuel-energy complex, construction, tourism spheres, including gasoline and diesel fuel import from Azerbaijan.
Dagestan side is also interested in regulation of frequency planning in bordering zone to reduce cellular communication operators’ coverage zone. Dagestan itself is ready to supply ship building production, high voltage technical equipment, glass containers for food industry to Azerbaijan and establish partner relations in tourism.
