Electricity corridor Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey to start working in 2012

 

National energy operator of Azerbaijan Azerenerji continues to build the power lines to create the electricity corridor Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey, reports abc.az.

According to Azerenerji, the construction of a 500-kilovolt substation Samukh and the reconstruction of 70 km transmission line Samukh-Gardabani are already completed. However, the work continues on the reconstruction of the 131- kilometer transmission line to the Georgian border.

"In the year 2012  a technical possibility to export the electricity through the  corridor Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey will be provided, " says the statement
