Yunus-Bek Yevkurov: I hope Azerbaijani investments will come to the North Caucasus

Economic relations between Azerbaijan and the Republic of Ingushetia  will develop, the head of the republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, told a Vestnik Kavkaza reporter, adding that he hopes that Azerbaijani investors will participate in business projects in the North Caucasus.

In addition, Yevkurov said the establishment of economic partnership with Azerbaijan would encourage the Azerbaijani diaspora living in Ingushetia. "It's small, but this will give them a big boost," he said.

The head of the republic also paid special attention to communication and bringing together the peoples of Ingushetia and Azerbaijan. "Azerbaijan for us is not just one of the ex-Soviet republics,” he said.  “An entire division of Azerbaijanis was at war, defending the city of Malgobek, and there are many graves of Azerbaijanis who were killed in the country. That is why we remember the Azerbaijanis - they once defended our country, our homeland. Therefore, these relations will certainly develop. "

Yunus-Bek Yevkurov added that there were already some agreements about the development of investment in the spheres of tourism, agriculture and construction, and he hopes all this will be implemented.
