Georgian exports to Azerbaijan increased by 60.9% ($117.461 million) and reached $310.247 million (17.8% of total exports), in January-October 2011, compared with January-October 2010, Georgia Online reports.
Georgia exported cars worth $134.931 million to Azerbaijan in January-October 2011 (+$46.769 million compared with the same period in 2010). 42,208 tons of carbonic steel rods worth $30.158 million (+$13.613 million) were exported to Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani import to Georgia increased by 29.6% reaching $428.217 million (8.6% of total Georgian imports).
Import of oil gases and gas hydrocarbons reached 798,248 tons worth $131.397 million (+$51.381 million). Georgia imported 282,285 tons of oil and oil products worth $270.286 million (+$48.232 million) from Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan was the second largest trade partner of Georgia, according to statistics on January-October 2011. Trade turnover of Georgia with Azerbaijan reached $792.5 million (+40.3%). Azerbaijani trade turnover with Georgia covers only 10.8% of total trade turnover.
