The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) will open the Baku Higher Petroleum School in September 2012, offering studies in the English and Azerbaijani languages, ANS-PRESS reports.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev ordered the formation of the school on November 29.
The school is to train high-skilled staff for the petroleum industry, based on advanced technologies and international standards. The petroleum school will have contacts with other world educational and scientific centers.
