Yerevan Ex-Mayor Karen Karapetyan has become Vice-President of Gazprombank, spokesman of the press service of ArmRosgazprom, Shushan Sardaryan, said, News.am reports.
The former mayor was appointed on December 2.
Gazprombank is one of the top 3 Russian banks and one of the top 3 largest banks in Central and Eastern Europe with the third largest capital. Such an appointment is impossible without the approval of high-ranking Russian officials.
