The Bank Of Georgia has announced that it is leaving the brokerage business in Ukraine, Business Georgia reports.
The bank representing its interests, BG Capital, said that the bank will become active on the Georgian market. A reduction of bids in Ukraine and a complicated situation on the capital market predetermined the decision.
BG Capital will remain the largest Georgian brokerage company, maintaining its range of services.
The Bank of Georgia sold 80% of the shares of the Ukrainian subsidiary bank to private individuals in February 2011, keeping 19.4% for itself.
