Polymer plant to be built in Kabardino-Balkaria

The government of Kabardino-Balkaria and the companies ThyssenKruppand Etan signed a tripartite agreement on the implementation of the investment projectto build a plant for pure polymers, according to Yuga.The construction of the plant for the production ofpolyethyleneterephthalate (PET) for food and textile industry withcapacity of 486 thousand tons per year will  require15 billion rubles,said the head of the government Ivan Gerter.General Director of "Ethan" Sergey Ashin noted that the main purposeof the project is to provide the containers to the agriculturalproducers of the southern Russia. At the same time the production willnot pose a threat to the environment and residents.The project will create 2,500 new jobs. The launching of  the plant isscheduled for 2015.
