Azerbaijani GDP growth in non-petroleum sector exceeds 9% in January-November 2011

Azerbaijani GDP in the non-petroleum sector in January-November 2011 increased by 0.2%, reaching $57.87 billion compared with the same period in 2010, APA reports.


54.9% of the GDP comes from industry, 7.8% - construction, 5.6% - agriculture, 5.2% - transport, 7.9% - trade and services, 1.7%  communications, 11%  social and other spheres.


GDP per capita was $6,362. The GDP of the non-petroleum sector increased by 9.5%, while the petroleum sector dropped by 9.1%.


Azerbaijani economic growth in 2011 is to reach 0.1-0.2%.


Prices for consumer products increased by 8%, food – 10.7%, non-food products – 2.7%, services – 4.7%.


Prices for consumer goods and services increased by 1.1% in November, compared with October. Food prices increased by 1.9%, non-food – by 0.4%, services - 0.1%. Inflation is expected to be 8% in 2011.
