Governor of the Gilyan Province, Saadati, said that Iran will start construction of industrial facilities at the new gas field found in the Caspian Sea, Iran.ru reports.
About $15 million will be issued for preparations. The new field will fulfill demands for gas in the country for at least 16 years. He underlined that only 5 world states have technology for exploring deepwater reserves. Workplaces will open for about 100,000 people.
Iran announced discovery of the new field with 50 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves in December.
