Two factories to be built in Chechnya

The Naur District of Chechnya will realize two prospect investment projects in industry in 2012, rg.ru reports.


The first factory will process soya. The documents for its construction have been approved by the appropriate ministries. Regions growing corn will be able to provide materials for processing. Over 300 people will get jobs, head of administration of the Naur District, Vladimir Kashlyunov said.


A factory for wool fiber is also under construction. It will meet European standards. A special of breed of Chechen and Stavropol sheep will provide wool. Construction of the factory would boost sheep-breeding.
Kashlyunova said that several large greenhouses for vegetables have been constructed. Grape will be planted next year, making imports of grape unnecessary.


Dagestan will have largest factory for sheet glass production in the North Caucasian Federal District. The Caspian sheet glass factory will be built in the Tyube Village of the Kumtorkalinsky District. It will produce 600 tons of the product daily. The clear, smoked glass will be energy efficient. It is a unique innovative product, with advanced energy-preservative attributes, reducing heat losses by 30% in winter and reducing sun energy in summer by 30-45%.


A foreign investor is planning to build a factory for beech plywood in Ingushetia. The regional Ministry for Economic Development said that there are 6.5 million cubic meters of beech reserves, with over 2 million cubic meters of ripe beech. Russian demand for the product increases by 20% annually.
