Iran to satisfy 65% of own petroleum demand

Hashem Namur, Director General of a refinery in the Bandar-Abbas Province, said at a meeting with Japanese Ambassador to Iran Kanishi Komano that Iran has reached a self-sufficiency level, Iran News reports.


Namur emphasized that efforts of national specialists of Iran fulfill 65% of inner petroleum demands. The Petroleum Ministry uses all put efforts into make construction of new refineries use all possible resources of the state.


Kinishi Kamano gave a positive rating to achievements of Iranian specialists at the Bandar-Abbas refinery. He expressed hope for wide presence of Japanese companies in Iran, in particular in Bandar-Abbas, and their fruitful cooperation with Iranian partners after the lift of anti-Iranian sanctions.
