20 million euros for Azerbaijani cement sector

The board of directors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a 20 million euro loan for the project to extend and increase the effectiveness of Garadagh Cement, Trend reports, with reference to the ADB.
This credit is the ADB's first investment into the infrastructure of Azerbaijan's private sector", the bank says. The loan from the ADB will increase the production of cement by 30% up to 1.7 million tons a year. Also, four kilns will be replaced by a new one to produce cement using the dry method, which will the reduce the power used to produce one ton of cement by 50%, industry water requirements and waste discharge. This will also allow the factory to adapt itself to meet international ecological standards.
