Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri has carried out bioremediation of 77,600 cubic meters of oil sludge on ground areas of Azerbaijan, the company said on Friday, Trend reports.
38,600 cubic meters of sludge underwent bioremediation at 10 hectares of Absheronneft of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR), 4,400 cubic meters on 2 hectares of Balakhanyneft, 25,300 cubic meters at 5 hectares in the Kyurdakhany Village and 9,400 cubic meters at 5 hectares of the Field Office named after A. Amirov.
Ekol Muhendislik Xidmetleri was formed on March 1, 2006, to solve ecological problems on the Absheron Peninsula. SOCAR owns 51% of the company's shares, Lancer S.A. Services - 49%.
