Germany and France will sign EU budget pact on March 1st

French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Monday that France and Germany want to sign an EU budget pact on March the 1st, 2012, Interfax reports.

"We would like negotiations to be completed in the next few days, and the contract to be signed by March 1st," Sarkozy told a press conference after meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
