The factory for canned food production in Kobuleti, Georgia, built with Ukrainian financing, will process 10,000 tons of tangerines in 2012. The factory purchased about 1,000 tons of citrus fruits paying 0.06 euro per kilo, UKRINFORM reports.

The factory will operate all year round and produce juices, oil and squash, head of the Adjara government Levan Varshalomidze said.

Municipalities will pay for transport of tangerines to the factory. The facility has already produced 600 tons of squash and 50 tons of canned juices.
