"Rosnano" to develop nanotechnologies in Stavropol

The head of Russian nanotechnologies corporation, Anatolii Chubais,
has taken part in a meeting under the chairmanship of Stavropol
regional governor, Valerii Gaevskii, devoted to issues of
nanotechnology development in the region, reports Yuga.ru
The "Rosnano" delegation arrived in Stavropol to discuss the high-tech
industry's development in the region. The meeting saw discussion of
construction of a center of nanotechnologies and the establishment of
a fund, aimed at developing venture investments into small and medium
businesses involved in scientific and high technological spheres.
The head of the corporation noted the importance of industrial
modernization, which also includes revising legislation and state
standards and measures to attract specialists in high technologies.
Following the meeting an agreement on development of nanotechnologies
in the region was signed.
