Iran to build cement factories in Venezuela and Ecuador

Majid Tavakolani, Director general of the Iranian Company for Industrial Construction, said that Venezuela and Ecuador requested Iran to build cement factories, Iran News reports.

The Iranian official said that Venezuela has high demand for cement to realize development programs. The two states have signed a memorandum of understanding and are preparing to sign a contract.

Tavakolani noted plans to construct a cement factory with an output of 500,000 tons in Ecuador. Iran is studying deposits of resources needed for production. Realization of the project will start as soon as the negotiations are ended.

Tavakolani said that Iranian specialists are building a cement factory in Venezuela. It will produce 1 million ton of products annually. 82% of construction has been completed.
