Saudi Arabia has promised Spain to compensate its reduction of oil purchases from Iran as a result of EU sanctions, Spanish Foreign Minister José Manuel García-Margallo y Marfil said, ITAR-TASS reports.
The minister noted that the oil price will remain the same. He reminded that before visiting Brussels on Monday he had negotiated the problem with Spanish petroleum companies.
Garcia-Margallo noted that Saudi Arabia had filed its assurances in written form.
