Modzhtab Feizollahi, Deputy Director for Marketing of the Iranian National Center for Carpets, said that the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Lebanon, Italy and Japan were the main buyers of Iranian carpets in the period of March 21 – December 21, Iran News reports.
Despite serious challenges in trading hand-made carpets, Iranian carpet exports totaled $380 million. Exports slightly dropped with the ban of Iranian carpets on the US market.
The official noted that Iran exports hand-made carpets to 81 states. The United Arab Emirates is the top importers of Iranian carpets.
