The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) has launched a new borehole at the Guneshli Field, 1news.az reports.
The new borehole was drilled at the stationary platform N13. It is 4080 meters deep. The borehole produces 50,000 cubic meters of gas and 110 tons of condensate.
Drilling was carried out by SOCAR-AQS, ordered by the department for oil and gas extraction on May 28. Drilling at the low-water field of Guneshli has been carried out since 1980. The field provides 65% of SOCAR oil extraction.
