Forbes has composed a rating of top 30 real estate companies, Gazeta.ru reports.
VTB and Sberbank accumulated most real estate. Kiyevskaya Ploschad of Zarakh Iliyev and Goda Nisanov is considered the top real estate company, according to Forbes. The company earned $780 million from rents. The second position belongs to Crocus of Aras Agalarov with $700 million, the third to Tashir of Samvel Karapetyan with $565 million.
Forbes said that, formally, IKEA (Sweden) is the owner of most commercial real estate in Russia, with 14 centers covering 1.6 million square meters, almost twice as much as Kiyevskaya Ploschad. But IKEA owner Ingvar Kamprad did not bound himself with Russian real estate market.
The rating consists of individuals or groups of individuals (only CIS citizens) owning real estate. Every participant’s position is determined by income made from real estate in 2011.
