Azerbaijan has issued a loan worth 300 million euros for Serbia to construct the Corridor 11 road section in Central Serbia, 1news.az reports.
The loan agreement was signed by Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic and Azerbaijani Minister for Economic Development Shakhin Mustafayev.
The loan was provided for 15 years with a 3-year beneficial period at a fixed rate of 4% annually. Azerbaijani and Serbian companies are constructing the road together.
Jeremic said that the road section will run from Lig to Prelina. The mass project requires construction of 60 bridges, 5 tunnels and high volumes of investment.
The Serbian minister noted that they had discussed other topical issues with Azerbaijan. Jeremic pointed out that Azerbaijan has an interest in investing in agriculture, cooperation in pharmaceutics and other joint projects.
