SOCAR Turkey Enerji, a Turkish branch of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR), has expressed interest in a tender to purchase one of the sections of the Istanbul gas-distributing company İGDAŞ, 1news.az reports.
Kenan Yavuz, Managing Director of SOCAR Turkey Enerji, said that the company will concentrate on the tender, should it be organized. SOCAR Turkey Enerji changed its mind on purchase of a share in Baskent Doğal Gaz, a Turkish company for gas distribution.
SOCAR received a 30-year license for regulation of the Turkish market of wholesale realization of gas on the interior market.
