Armenian exports increased by 28%, imports by 11% in 2011

According to preliminary statistics, Armenian exports increased by 27.7% to $1329.5 million in 2011, compared with 2010, imports by 10.7% to $4151.5 million, ARKA reports.

Exports in December 2011 increased by 2.1%, imports by 2.3%, compared with December 2010.

Armenian trade turnover in 2011 totaled $5481 million, increasing by 14.4%, compared with 2010. It dropped by 1.3% in December 2011, compared with December 2010.

Armenia had a negative balance of $2822 million in 2011.

The average currency rate of dollar to Armenian dram was $1 = 372.5 drams.
