Fire at Kazakhstan’s Shymkent Refinery put out

A fire at the oil refinery of Shymkent in Kazakhstan has been put out, News Kazakhstan reports.

Witnesses say the fire started at 2.30 pm with smoke rising 30 meters high. An investigation is in progress.

The Shymkent Refinery was launched in 1985. It has a capacity of processing 6 million tons of oil annually.
