Georgian government to control prices of agricultural products

The Georgian government plans to pass amendments to the Tax Code, relieving prime agricultural product manufacturers from VAT, News Georgia reports.

The initiative should reduce prices for vegetables, fruits, meat and other products by 18%, as stated by Giya Khuroshvili, parliamentary secretary of the government, on Tuesday.

The official noted that the government will present the initiative at today’s session of the bureau and demand that the  bill be passed within a month.
