Natalya Sindeyeva, owner of the Dozhd TV Channel, has offered Alexey Venediktov, Editor-in-Chief of Echo Moskvy, to purchase a share in the company from Gazprom-Media on Tuesday, Gazeta.ru reports.
Sindeyeva clarified that Gazprom-Media holds a 66% share in the company. Svetlana Dolya, press secretary of Dozhd, commented that Sindeyeva’s message on Twitter is an official proposal.
Sindeyeva and Mikhail Prokhorov, owner of the Zhivi Media Group, were discussing cooperation in October.
Venediktov said that his dismissal from the radio station is not under discussion. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin criticized Venediktov after the protests started. He condemned the radio station for negative information about him.
Vestnik Kavkaza reported earlier that Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov announced a reshuffle at the Board of Echo Moskvy and that it had nothing to do with criticism of the prime minister.
