Kazakhstan starts development of the Aktogay copper deposits

 

The Kazakh corporation Kazakhmys has started development of the world’s largest copper deposits, Trend reports.

The Aktogay deposit in Western Kazakhstan Region holds about 100,000 tons of copper. It would take 40 years to exploit it.

Feasibility studies will be ready by the end of 2012. About $1.5 billion will be invested.
