Azerigaz, an industrial group of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic, plans to supply 100% of Baku with gas by the end of 2013. Gas supplies in the 2012-2013 season increased, deputy head of the industrial group Aydyn Amanov said, Trend reports.
Gas demand reached 26 million cubic meters daily, compared with 16-20 million cubic meters in the winter of 2010-2011.
Baku is organizing feasibility studies for reconstruction and modernization of the gas distribution system of the city. It is planned to automate the system. Baku has about 650,000 consumers.
