A student of the Russian of Oil and Gas University named after I. Gubkin, a graduate of secondary school No.2 of the village of Huchni in the Tabasaran district of Dagestan, Akim Seferov, has won the International Scientific-Technical Conference on Oil and Gas IPTC (International Petroleum Technology Conference. Education Week) in Thailand, according to RIA Dagestan, with reference to the words of the spokesperson of the Association of Dagestani Youth in Moscow, Atikat Kurbanov.
As a result of knock-out rounds, the jury awarded Akim first prize.
The conference was held on February 5-9, in the Thai capital Bangkok. Russia was represented by two students from the Department of Oil and Gas Fields of the State University of Oil and Gas. In the student section more than 30 countries and more than 80 representatives of higher institutions took part.
It should be noted that this was the fifth time that the annual conference had been held. Previously it was held in the UAE, Malaysia and twice in Qatar.
"Akim Seferov won winner’s laurels, showing again, how diligent and purposeful the Dagestani youth is. Sure, it's a good indicator and incentive for other young people to move to new heights and glorify our land.
