Kazakhstan may start oil tolling to China, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan

Kazakh Minister for Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev said that Kazakhstan may start oil tolling to China, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan using KazMunayGaz Rompetrol in Europe, News Kazakhstan reports.

Mynbayev said in late 2011 that Russia would reduce supplies of crude oil and petroleum to Kazakhstan and proposed tolling operations at Russian refineries. He said on Tuesday that tolling can be realized in other states, than just Russia.

The minister said that Kazakhstan may process 14.2 million tons of oil. Some 1.6 million tons of oil are left unprocessed.

Mynbayev noted that the volume is exported from Russia. The yield differs, if it reaches 70-80%, or over 2 million tons of crude oil, the volume cannot be processed through tolling, it is a potential volume, he says.
