New logistical company to be formed within SES

Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus plan to found a logistical railway company within the framework of Single Economic Space (SES), President of Russian Railways Vladimir Yakunin said, News Kazakhstan reports.

The official said that the initiative has already been discussed with Kazakhstan. Yakunin said that he ordered Peter Baskakov, head of TransContainer, to organize negotiations with Belarusian Railways. It would not be a subsidiary of TransContainer, but a new structure of the three states.

Western and Chinese partners have interest in the project, Yakunin adds.
