Kanat Dosmukametov has become the Managing Director of Samruk-Kazyn, Tengrinews reports.
Dosmukametov used to be Chairman of the Treasury Committee of the Kazakh Finances Ministry. He will supervise the Department for Corporate Finances and Treasury and Directorate for management of Financial Institutions at Samruk-Kazyn.
Dosmukametov graduated at the Kazakh State Academy for Management as an economist. He started working at the National Bank of Kazakhstan in 1994, where he operated as leading economist of the section for licensing of non-bank financial structures and banking audit of the Department for Bank Surveillance. Then he worked as chief economist of the licensing section of the licensing directorate, head of the section for methodology, deputy head of the Financial Surveillance Department of the National Bank.
Kanat Dosmukametov was Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Agency for Regulation and Monitoring of the Financial Market and Financial Organizations in January 2004 – March 2006. He worked as Deputy CEO of the KazAgro National Holding. Dosmukametov was Chairman of the Treasury Committee of the Kazakh Finances Ministry in 2009-2012.
