A spokesman for Russia's VTB 24 bank said that reports on the bank’s closing accounts of the Iranian Embassy was false, ITAR-TASS reports.
Iranian Ambassador to Russia Seyed Mahmoud Reza Sajadi said in his blog that VTB 24 was to block and confiscate accounts of the embassy.
The VTB 24 spokesman said that the bank it is a matter of payroll program. About 30 diplomats of the embassy were warned that the bank ends its cooperation with them.
